How to use Miro in government: Mapping signals and trends

Virtual tools are great. They enable public servants to work collaboratively with their colleagues at a distance, allow everyone to contribute to the conversation and make meetings more interactive.

But they can be tricky to use, and valuable time can be wasted as people struggle to make the tools work. In this interactive workshop, you will learn how to use virtual tools effectively to work collaboratively and have the chance to practise using Miro.

You will also learn how Miro can be applied in practice to analyse current trends and future scenarios. You will consider how to detect emerging signals and trends and determine what drivers are causing the change. You will ask what MIGHT happen and look at possible, probable and preferable futures.

During this workshop you will:

• Consider practical factors such as the cost and accessibility of virtual tools
• Learn how to use Miro by working on a use case
• Be introduced to the Futures Thinking Framework
• Explore how to map signals and trends
