The AI in Government Community is a collaborative space designed for conversations, insights, ideas and resources on the use of AI in government from your peers across the global public service. This community is open to all Apolitical members.
Event Description
Public servants juggle heavy workloads, ever-growing to-do lists and relentless admin. Copilot can help. From drafting emails to summarising documents, this practical session from the Government AI Campus explores how to work smarter — without sacrificing quality.
Copilot isn’t just for tech teams or early adopters. It’s already helping public servants across government write faster, plan better and manage their day with less stress. This masterclass dives into practical, replicable hacks that can be applied immediately, all tailored for working in government.
Led by public servants who regularly use the tool, this session unpacks time-saving Copilot features, clever prompts and little-known functions that boost daily productivity. Designed to equip public servants everywhere with a toolkit of go-to approaches.

Iwin Nayak, is a transformation leader with over 15 years of global experience across government, healthcare, and manufacturing industry. Currently driving enterprise-wide process improvement using Generative Ai as the Senior Manager of Lean, Strategy and Innovation Division in Ontario Public Service. Iwin, specializes in Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, and AI strategy, and is recognized for blending technical expertise with a people-first leadership style and helping organizations innovate, build resilience, and achieve sustainable results.
Alexandra Rodney, PhD, is Manager of the Transformation Oversight Unit in the Ministry of Health, Government of Toronto. She honed her problem-solving skills in spaces like the  University of Toronto’s Innovation Hub and the Ontario Digital Service’s Lean and Continuous Improvement Office. As a manager of project managers, her goal is to create a team culture where everyone identifies opportunities for improvements and tests out solutions. She’s a firm believer that you don’t need to be an AI expert to try using GenAI tools to improve your processes.
