Increasing diversity in the government workplace strengthens the skill sets available to tackle some of the world’s biggest problems. Ilana Munckton, VP of Growth at Apolitical and community lead for Apolitical's Neurodiversity in Public Service community, is responsible for growing Apolitical's global network of public servants and policymakers. She is an experienced digital marketer, business strategist and leader with over 15 years of experience managing teams. Prior to joining Apolitical, she was at Edinburgh-based health and social care startup Care Sourcer and the global travel website Skyscanner.
Penelope Kopala, a Business Psychologist and HR professional, has worked in the UK Civil Service since 2020. Prior to joining the Civil Service, she worked as a Psychologist in a consultancy. She is an advocate for neurodiversity in the workplace and emphasises the importance of recognizing and leveraging neurodiversity strengths. Penelope is an Associate Member of the CIPD, an ILM-accredited coach and mentor, and holds a master’s degree in Occupational Psychology from the University of Nottingham.
