You'll learn how to:
- Understand what makes a virtual event enganging, inclusive and accessible
- Identify techniques for delivering high impact virtual events
- Recognise whether your virtual event was a success
The past two years have fundamentally changed the way most organisations function. Many gatherings that would once have taken place in person — from team meetings to workshops to presentations — have now moved into the virtual space.
While many of us have adapted, it’s important to do more than just adapt: it’s time to thrive.
Join this five-week email boot camp co-designed with the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) about how to deliver engaging, accessible and inclusive virtual events. You’ll discover innovative tips and tricks for keeping a live audience engaged and for reaching all of your attendees, whether you’re organising an online meeting or a training session.
You'll cover:
- Week 1: Why nobody has time for bad virtual events
- Week 2: How to set yourself up for success
- Week 3: How to include everyone in the (virtual) room
- Week 4: How to keep your audience engaged
- Week 5: How to know if your virtual event was a success
You'll get:
- One email lesson per week for five weeks, with 20 minutes or less of required activities per lesson, which you can complete at your own pace
- Top tips and resources from Apolitical and across the UN
- Articles, videos, case studies, and activities to guide you every step of the way
Who should join:
This boot camp is for public servants and policymakers, especially those working in international organisations, governments and UN entities, looking to make their virtual events more interesting, inclusive and accessible.
