Michael Wernick, Canadian public sector leader, has a deep background in policy and administration, acquired during a 38 year career culminating in serving as Canada’s 23rd Clerk of the Privy Council from 2016 to 2019. Since 2019, he has been a consultant, adjunct professor and since 2022 a university chair focused on public sector management. Michael is author of Governing Canada: A Guide to the Tradecraft of Politics (UBC Press 2021), and has notable expertise in Indigenous issues, intergovernmental relations, governance and management.
Anya Zhuravkina, founder of Winning Language, helps people from both the public and private sector use language more effectively. Her businesses is all about building trust, influencing and winning over the hearts and minds of their audiences. Before this, she was the Language Director at KPMG. Here she created and ran the first ‘Language in Sales’ programme to help people win work and build stronger relationships with clients.
