2020 was not an easy year, from the coronavirus pandemic to the “Shadow Pandemic” of violence against women girls. Nevertheless, public servants, feminist leaders and networks made huge strides in their efforts to advance gender equality.
That’s why Apolitical is launching our list of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Gender Policy 2021 to celebrate and recognise the efforts of people of all genders working on gender policy and making the world more equitable.
In this workshop you’ll hear from some of the influential leaders featured on this list who’ve made an impact on gender equality through their work on data and technology, in feminist movements and more. With the first Generation Equality Forum right around the corner, it’s a chance to celebrate achievements and prepare for what’s next.

Emily Courey Pryor, is the founding Executive Director of Data2X, a civil society organization that works to eliminate gender bias from the world’s major data sources. Data2X works with partners – UN agencies, governments, civil society, academia, and the private sector – to improve gender data and its use for better, smarter decision making. In addition to a focus on gender equality, she has a passion for and experience working in global health, international disaster response, and peace and security.
Suneeta Dhar, is Co-Founder and Chair of the South Asia Women Foundation India, and Senior Advisor at Jagori a feminist group based in Dehli. She has designed multi-stakeholder programs, engendering rural women’s livelihoods, ending violence against women, and building safer spaces for women/girls.She coordinated the India Unit for the historic preparatory process for Beijing ’95 Conference, mobilizing grassroots women leaders across diverse sectors, locations and social identities.
