• Ciaran Carolan, manager of the Public Key Directory (PKD) programme at the International Civil Aviation Organization, ICAO, in Montreal, coordinates an international community of experts and users of a large-scale IT system for authenticating electronic and digital identity document globally. He also works extensively with ICAO’s network of Regional Officers across the world. Prior to working for ICAO, Ciaran spent six years managing large and multi-location teams at the European Union Agency for Large-scale IT systems in Estonia. In his various roles with the EU, he led efforts to strengthen the EU’s digital architectures for border management, asylum management and law enforcement cooperation, coordinated a pan-European research programme and managed team leaders for policy management, stakeholder management, international training and statistical reporting. He is a trained pharmacist holding an MBA from IE Business School, Spain and a PhD in Computational Chemistry from Trinity College, Ireland.

• Erica Kaneza, joined the Gender Based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus) Centre of Expertise at Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) in 2021. Her main objective as the manager is to ensure that GBA Plus is central to NRCan’s culture and is applied to all facets of work, allowing for equal and equitable opportunities and results for all Canadians and people living in Canada. Throughout her career, she has gained experience in the areas of policy, programme evaluation, corporate planning and reporting, performance measurement and GBA Plus in the federal and provincial governments.

• Erin Donahue, Manager, Reform, Partnerships and Leadership Development, Leadership and Management Fundamentals Unit, Ministry of the Solicitor General. Erin is a dedicated transformational leader within the Ontario Public Service. She started her career with the Canadian Federal Government as part of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police responding to calls threatening National Safety before joining the OPS as an Ambulance Communications Officer, taking life-saving calls from the public and providing emergency medical direction to those in crisis. From there she moved around the government, expanding her portfolio to include social services, management, provincial education on childrens mental and developmental health and trauma-informed care systems, legal and litigation, and project management. Along her career path, Erin dedicated her time and energy to creating sound leadership programmes, developing systems to enhance learning, build avenues for growth and bridging gaps to advance capacity building for staff and leaders alike. This is evident in her executive roles within the OPS Leadership Network and Tomorrow’s Ontario Public Service where she has built provincial manager mentorship programming, creating workshops on resume and interview skills and networking and personally career mentors those seeking support and guidance.
