Covid-19 has drastically changed the way governments work. Public servants and policymakers have had to design and implement policies at unprecedented speed whilst faced with the additional challenges of ambiguity and remote working. As a result, many public servants and policymakers have adopted more agile ways of working.
As we look towards recovery, it is time to reflect on what has Covid-19 taught us about policymaking and how we can incorporate these lessons and insights into the future of policymaking.
In this workshop, you’ll hear from experienced policymakers about how Covid-19 has changed the way we do policymaking and what this might mean for traditional policy models and theories, as well as what policymaking might look like in the future.

Katie Driver, creates and delivers training for individuals, teams and organisations on the development, communication and implementation of public policy.
William Meehan, has a wide range of HR experience in strategic business partnering roles and leading key HR functions in a number of government departments.
James Blake, previously worked as Chief Executive of St Albans City and District Council. James also has experience as a senior civil servant in the then Department for Communities and Local Government, where he specialised in policy on local government, regeneration and social inclusion.
