• Paolo Zinatelli, is a Senior Program Lead with the People and Organizational Performance team in the Ontario Public Service (OPS), in Toronto, Canada. His work is focused on creating learning and development opportunities for public servant communicators, and he runs workshop sessions on topics such as inclusive language, plain language and accessible writing. He previously worked as a marketing copywriter in the OPS, writing campaigns that informed the public about government services and programs. He also teaches in the public relations program at Centennial College in Toronto. Before joining the public service in 2017, Paolo was a journalist for more than a decade, working at two of Canada’s largest newspapers. In 2015 he won a National Newspaper Award, one of the highest journalism honours in Canada. And in 2020 was named Educator of the Year by the Canadian Public Relations Society. In the little spare time he has left, he writes short stories, creative non-fiction pieces and is learning American Sign Language.
