Event Description
Do you ever open a “final_v7_REALLYfinal” document and wonder where your time went?
This event will explore how to use AI to move faster in the documents you rely on every day, without starting from scratch each time. We’ll look at how to turn rough notes into a strong first draft, build reusable templates for the work you repeat and create simple prompt patterns that help you edit, adapt and standardise content across teams, languages and formats.
In this session, an expert will demo real workflows for drafting, rewriting and templatising common public sector documents, plus how to set up a lightweight template library you can keep improving over time.
The AI Skills Lab is a monthly series of virtual, 30-minute events, brought to you as part of the Government AI Campus. Think of them as your shortcut to working smarter, one task at a time, with tips and hacks from experts already using AI regularly to augment their work.

Across her work, Victoria is especially interested in how AI can reduce repetitive tasks, improve workflows and free up time for more strategic, creative work. She is passionate about helping teams spend less time copying, pasting and formatting documents and more time creating useful, high-quality outputs.
