In public service, writing is a daily task but clarity is rarely easy. Whether you're crafting briefings, responding to citizens or updating internal guidance, your message nearly always needs to land the first time. Dense language, jargon and long winded sentences can blur the point and waste time. Writing clearly and concisely isn’t just a stylistic choice — it is essential for better policy, smoother collaboration and faster decisions. This event will help you break through the fog and make your writing more impactful whatever your role.

Sara Makrouf, is a PhD Researcher and Head of Cooperation and Communication Unit at a public institution in Morocco. She specialises in international cooperation and regulatory governance, leading cooperation and communication units and representing her institution within the Institutional Working Group of the Association of Mediterranean Energy Regulators (MEDREG). She holds degrees from SKEMA Business School, Suzhou University and ENCG Morocco and is pursuing a PhD in strategic water governance. Her interests include climate adaptation, governance innovation and gender-responsive regulation.
Lukas Hardonk, a Senior Communications Advisor at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, where he leads public environment analysis to shape strategies that build trust and meet the diverse information needs of the public in Canada. With over a decade of experience in communications across the public, private, and non-profit sectors, Lukas focuses on making complex information accessible and turning data-driven insights into clear, impactful communications that foster meaningful dialogue and connection.
Rishwa Shekhar, a Strategic Communications and Partnerships Consultant working across public and private sectors in Europe, Africa, and Asia. She specialises in translating complex policy, data, and technical work into clear, actionable narratives for policymakers and donors, supporting decision-making, trade-offs, and resource mobilisation. Her experience spans UNHCR, UNESCO, government partners, and technology organisations. She currently works with Amini and collaborates with IOs and cross-sector partners.
