How to use Mural in government: Scenario development process

Jamboard. Mural. Miro. Conceptboard. Sketchboard.

Virtual tools are great. They enable public servants to work collaboratively with their colleagues at a distance, allow everyone to contribute to the conversation and make meetings more interactive.

But they can be tricky to use, and valuable time can be wasted as people struggle to make the tools work. In this interactive workshop you will learn how to use virtual tools effectively to work collaboratively and have the chance to practise using Mural.

You will also learn how Mural can be applied in practice to the Futures Thinking Framework. You will try the framework together with the facilitators and learn the basics of the scenario development process, a methodology for forecasting future events.

During this workshop you will:

• Consider practical factors such as the cost and accessibility of virtual tools
• Learn how to use Mural by working on a use case
• Be introduced to the Futures Thinking Framework
• Explore how to use the scenario development process to forecast future events

This workshop has been put on in partnership with the Sustainable Living Lab (SL2). SL2 is a consultancy that co-designs and implements innovation projects in the area of future skills development, energy sustainability and community resilience.

This is an interactive workshop; you will have the chance to use the tools during the session and be put in breakout rooms with facilitators.
