New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Arden’s shock decision to resign in January 2023 brought the reality of burnout in the public service to an international stage. Covid-19 created a hotbed for increased workload and staff shortages in a pressured environment, with the knock-on effect of strict project deadlines and managing new policies to help economic recovery. All of this has led to a landslide of fatigue and ‘burnout’ in the public service.
Learning how to spot the signs of burnout and deal with increased demand, stress, and feelings of fatigue and demotivation is a requirement for 21st century governments.
Watch this free online workshop to learn the signs of burnout and how to tackle stress, fatigue and apathy in the public service.
Who should watch:
This workshop is for any public servant or policymaker who may be feeling ‘burned out’ and looking to develop good habits to protect their wellbeing at work.
