Over the past year the pandemic has underscored the importance of having an adaptable public service. Yet the realities of government are that you’ll often have to set out lengthy proposals plans just to get started. This kind of linear planning can reduce flexibility but luckily there are ways that leaders can make room for adaptation.
In this online workshop you’ll unpack what it really means to be adaptive, and how much is really possible in government.
You’ll discover how to refine your approach as you learn, making use of insights when they happen, not just sticking blindly to the plan. You’ll also get concrete advice, techniques and tips for making yourself and your team more intentionally adaptive.
By the end of this workshop, you'll be able to:
- Identify the characteristics and behaviours of being an adaptive leader
- Respond to leadership challenges through dynamic decision making
- Initiate an adaptive approach within public sector programmes and activities
- Confidently take “appropriate risks,” combining bold thinking with evidence and experimentation
This workshop will be facilitated by iProcure founders Kevin Martin dela Cruz and Arnold Onrubia.
Who should watch:
This workshop is for anyone working in government looking to become more adaptive at work and/or advocate for culture change within their team or department.
