• Nathan White, Senior Policy Advisor in the Department for Education, co-author of ‘An Unofficial Guide to Civil Service Applications’ which aims to demystify the process for those who do not have a network that can support them. Since publishing the guide, he has delivered applications workshops to over 500 people across four departments, eight universities and several other organisations. Prior to working in government, he completed the Unlocked Graduates programme where he supported and safeguarded some of our society’s most vulnerable and challenging young people in HMYOI Feltham.

• Joe Oakes, Policy Advisor in HM Treasury, co-author of ‘An Unofficial Guide to Civil Service Applications’ which aims to demystify the process for those who do not have a network that can support them. Since publishing the guide, he has delivered applications workshops to hundreds of people both within and outside of government, and spoken on social mobility panels in HMT. Joe has been a public policy researcher in Westminster thinktanks as well as leading local campaigns in ministers’ parliamentary offices.

• Kate Guthrie, Deputy Director for Strategic Performance at the Government Property Agency (GPA) - an executive agency of the Cabinet Office. As a Change and Transformation specialist, with a 20-year Civil Service career, Kate has led numerous transformation projects and programmes within a variety of departments, including the Cabinet Office,Ministry of Defence and Welsh Government. Her skills and experience are particularly focused on workplace transformation and workplace experience, but also include organisation design and development, workforce transformation, organisational strategy and resourcing as well as embedding culture, behaviour and process change. Kate is particularly passionate about how great workplace experiences can support civil servants to be happy, healthy, connected and productive.
