Are you curious about how AI is transforming governments? Do you want to connect and interact with fellow public servants working on AI initiatives?
There are lots of conversations about AI in government, but we think the best way to develop your skills is by hearing how others are using it elsewhere, learning from their successes (and challenges) and having practical discussions with peers.
In this interactive Show & Tell, we'll be joined by speakers and experts who'll tell us about their experiences using AI in government, before breaking out into smaller groups to reflect, discuss and continue learning.
Our first speaker to be announced is:
- Niklas Kossow, Head of the Smart City & Government Innovation Division at CityLAB Berlin. Niklas will share how CityLAB is using AI to enhance information retrieval for the Berlin Senate.
- Mark Robbins, Mark is an Innovation Manager in the Government of Canada working at the Department of National Defence. He will cover the recent release of the DND AI strategy, its immediate implications, and some of the work that has taken place downstream on large language models.
- Andreas Varotsis, Andreas is Head of AI capability at 10 Downing Street. He will cover "Caddy", an AI powered co-pilot for customer service functions within the UK government.
- Liam Wilkinson, Head of Applied AI @ Incubator for AI, Cabinet Office UK. Liam will go over the "Redbox" project, a tool that will allow UK government to chat with documents and summarise important information.
What to expect
- 30 minutes of lightning talks showcasing work that's using AI in public service
- 30 minutes of open-floor discussion and interactive breakout rooms
