Jennifer Pahlka, a senior fellow at the Niskanen Center and the Federation of American Scientists, and a senior advisor to the Abundance Network. She served as deputy chief technology officer of the United States and a member of the Defense Innovation Board. She founded the award-winning nonprofit Code for America, which she led for ten years, and co-founded US Digital Response. Pahlka was selected by Wired magazine as one of the people who have most shaped technology and society in the past twenty-five years. Ezra Klein called her book Recoding America “the book I wish all policymakers would read.”
Dr. Jacqui Taylor, CEO of two AI companies and shortlisted for European PICASSO award based on an AI Safety collaboration with the UK ICO, is recognised as the #15 Most Influential Woman in UK Technology. She is also one of the 21 most Inspiring Women in Cyber, a Top Ten Global IoT innovator, and one of the Top 100 European Angel Funders. Her company FlyingBinary is one of the 119 companies appointed to deliver secured and accredited AI services to the UK Government. Her AI expertise has been used to develop AI procurement guidelines with the UK Office for AI and the World Economic Forum. FlyingBinary is one of the 50 European companies that provided the evidence base for the development of the EU AI Act.
Andreas Varotsis, head of AI Capability at the Data Science team of No10 Downing Street (10DS), is working to deliver critical government priorities with data and AI, and works closely with the newly set up Incubator for AI. Prior to working at No10, Andreas was a police officer with the Metropolitan Police Service, undertaking advanced analytics and machine learning as part of their Strategic Insight Unit, as well as a broad range of front-line uniformed roles.
