Tanzania is changing violent norms by slowing down policy

Preventing violence means changing the norms that allow violent behaviours to flourish. Uzikwasa is a grassroots organisation that goes “deep rather than wide”, creating long-term interventions in small-scale settings. Through leadership programs and multimedia messaging, Uzikwasa shifts deeply-held beliefs that undergird violence against women and children across Tanzania.
