Mexico has established 70 internet cafes to bridge a digital divide that denies 68% of the population access to online banking, employment opportunities or information, perpetuating poverty further. The Mexican government worked with a social enterprise, Enova, which runs the digital learning centres in neighbourhoods where many residents don't have access to the internet. Hundreds of thousands of children, young people and adults have benefited from the facilities which have been shown to improve earning potential by more than $300 a year.
