New York has saved an estimated 800 lives and 2,000 hospital visits by transitioning 6,000 buildings to cleaner fuel. The Clean Heat partnership has phased out No. 6 heating oil, a heavy pollutant, in 99.8% of New York City's buildings. New Yorkers now enjoy the cleanest air in 50 years.
