We regularly conduct surveys and polls of our global community of verified public servants. Our mission is to help build 21st century governments that work for people and the planet. Data and evidence about public servants' experiences and perspective can provide unique insights to support that mission. That's why we make our data open and accessible for governments, researchers and other partners to use.
To protect the privacy of our commmunity members, we generally only provide open access to closed survey questions (i.e. with pre-defined answers). Survey questions which have a default open-ended responses are not published to eliminate any possibility of identifiable information being shared widely. Where questions have an 'Other' option, however, we publish these responses (after careful review). Redacted responses are noted in the dataset.
We make the data available under an open, unrestricted licence. It may be used for any purpose as long as there is proper attribution to Apolitical. In general, the attribution should include the name of the survey (provided below) and reference to 'conducted by Apolitical'. If possible, this should include a link to our platform (www.apolitical.co). We'd also appreciate notification of any use cases, using the contact details provided below.

The most comprehensive global dedicated survey of public servants' learning and development in government. The survey explores how public servants engage with learning in government, the skills they want to develop and the impact of training on their performance and development. The total number of respondents is 2,064.
