Apolitical, the global online learning platform and community for public servants, will launch a Government Campus for Emerging Technologies. The Campus will fill a vast and urgent knowledge, skills and network gap that exists globally for public servants.
Apolitical CEO, Robyn Scott, said at Apolitical Day on November 20: “It is not an overstatement to say that the race for emerging tech will determine the future. Quantum, synthetic biology, geoengineering, space exploration — these represent some of the biggest opportunities of our lifetime for governments. Imagine if, in the near future, instead of policymakers or department teams saying “What is quantum computing?”, they are rather saying, “Here is how our team is preparing to procure this technology on terms that work for us.”
Through the new Campus, Apolitical will empower governments to be ready and confident for emerging technologies. To get there, the public sector and its institutions need upskilling in all these critical future technologies. Prioritising skills and capability is a practical step governments can take to prepare.
Apolitical is already developing a “Quantum Computing for Policymakers” course, which will launch in 2025, partnering with Google Quantum AI for their expert insights and knowledge in this area. The course will feature experts from the Google Quantum AI team, academia, industry bodies, other specialist research companies and government experts in countries investing in quantum computing, including the US, the UK, the EU, Japan, South Korea and Australia. To celebrate the launch, Apolitical is offering selected free places on the first and exclusive cohort for this course. Seats are limited to just 500 policymakers, including two live virtual masterclasses with quantum experts, and access to a moderated community of practice.
If your team is interested in taking these places or would like to learn more about the Government Campus for Emerging Technologies Campus, let the Apolitical team know.
We want governments to be confident and astute regulators, buyers, and users of today’s critical emerging technologies, and invite you to take the first step and join us on the Government Campus for Emerging Technologies in 2025.
