SmartShift is an automated, centralized scheduling system using Machine Learning. It captures employee skills, seniority and preferences to generate optimized schedules that balance operational needs with individual desires. SmartShift was built using open source tools within existing budget.
The automated scheduling solution aspires to significantly improve operational efficiency and workforce satisfaction. By aligning schedules with union rules and staff preferences, the system fosters transparency and reduces grievances.
