Apolitical Day 2025

Attendees from Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Moldova, the Netherlands, South Africa and more contributed to a global conversation about the Future of Government and the biggest issues facing policymakers.

General Sir Nick Carter, former Head of the UK Armed Forces, gave a sobering insight into the future of warfare. Former Heads of State Alexander De Croo (Former Prime Minister of Belgium) and Natalia Gavrilița (Former Prime Minister of Moldova) shared reflections on what they’d learned from their time in office. 

Apolitical co-founder and CEO of Better Politics Foundation Lisa Witter hosted the famous and impassioned Apolitical debate, and Apolitical’s CEO and co-founder Robyn Scott interviewed Mariana Mazzucato on the urgent need for policymakers to build state capacity.
