The DPI 50

Apolitical is proud to receive nominations for The DPI 50: Leaders of Digital Public Infrastructure. 50 individuals will be celebrated globally for their leadership at the frontier of digital public infrastructure (DPI), achieving measurable, citizen-centred impact at scale. The DPI 50 is an initiative by Apolitical in collaboration with the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on GovTech and Digital Public Infrastructure.

DPI tackles one of governments’ biggest challenges: fragmented systems that make services slow, complex and hard to access. When designed and deployed well, DPI enables governments to deliver faster, more accessible and more reliable services with trust at the centre. This includes foundational building blocks such as digital identity, payments and data exchange, as well as the next generation of interoperable and AI-enabled infrastructure.

The DPI 50 will shine a spotlight on the public leaders turning this promise into practice. By identifying and celebrating individuals driving DPI adoption across contexts, the list will elevate proven approaches that public servants everywhere can learn from and adapt.

Nominate a leader for The DPI 50

Do you know of a public sector leaders that’s making a real difference? Nominate them now!

We are seeking nominations of individuals who are:

• Impactful Implementing policy ambition into adopted systems that demonstrate measurable outcomes, sustainable scale and tangible improvements in people’s lives.

• Trusted Embedding safeguards, privacy and security protections, accountability mechanisms and accessible, rights-respecting design into digital infrastructure.

• Collaborative Building and sustaining cross-sector ecosystems across government, private sector, civil society and academia to deliver outcomes at scale.

• Innovative Advancing the next generation of DPI by embodying a significant new approach, model or use of technology including interoperable architectures and the responsible integration of emerging technologies such as AI.

We are committed to recognising leadership across levels of government and regions of the world. Nominees must currently serve in a public sector role at national, regional or city level.

Selected individuals will be recognised globally as part of The DPI 50, released later in 2026, forming a reference set of leaders demonstrating what works in building trusted, citizen-centred digital foundations for  government worldwide.
