To mark World Quantum Day and the International Year of Quantum, Apolitical has announced its course, Quantum Computing: Understanding the Technology and its Implications. Developed in collaboration with Google Quantum AI, this course prepares global policymakers with the foundational knowledge they need to prepare for this emerging technology.
Many governments are already investing significantly in quantum research, but a significant skills gap remains among policymakers. The new course bridges this gap by offering an accessible, expert-led introduction to quantum computing, covering its current capabilities and potential applications, and debunking some common myths. It also explores the crucial role of government in fostering responsible partnerships, investment, skills development and regulation. The course was built in collaboration with individual experts and leading organisations working at the heart of quantum computing development, as well as with Google Quantum AI.
