An AI-powered information search and consultation system was established using past civil complaint and administrative data held by Yangsan City Hall.
While the demand for administrative services in Yangsan City has been increasing, the city faced a shortage of personnel to handle the load. In this environment, it became necessary to introduce a new service to promptly process the diverse civil complaints and requests of residents.
Accordingly, the project aims to develop an AI-based consultation service that allows even non-experts to quickly search for internal information and respond to inquiries. This initiative is designed to reduce the burden on officials and improve the quality of public services.
An AI-powered information search and consultation system was established using past civil complaint and administrative data held by Yangsan City Hall. Approximately 70 cases of administrative and complaint-related records were utilized to perform data training and indexing within the SearchGPT framework. Additionally, a chatbot solution was implemented by adding a query generation function based on SmartChat. This system is designed to integrate diverse data scattered across various departments in Yangsan City, making it easier for citizens to search for the information they need. Through this, citizens can obtain civil complaint information more quickly and accurately, while officials can respond to inquiries with greater efficiency.
By providing a search service based on civil complaint and administrative data, information from various departments within Yangsan City Hall—including architecture, informatics, health, and population—can be utilized efficiently. This is expected to reduce the burden on personnel and improve the quality of resident services by increasing response speeds. Furthermore, the system will be continuously improved by learning from newly accumulated data. By linking search and chatbot services, a more sophisticated response system can be established. This will create a framework for responding rapidly to resident demands and maximizing the efficiency of administrative processing.
