Tanya Accone, Senior Adviser on Innovation at UNICEF. Tanya's career has focused on helping international public and private sector organizations understand how to amplify their impact through the convergence of people and innovation. She has implemented and scaled ground-breaking initiatives across more than 120 countries that have changed the lives of 280 million children and their communities. Tanya has led combinations of fully remote and hybrid teams for the past 8 years and can speak first hand to the good, the bad and the ugly.
John O’Duinn, senior technologist and entrepreneur who has worked in distributed companies of one form or another for 29 years, led distributed teams for 15 years, run workshops and mentored distributed teams for 8 years. His book “Distributed Teams - The Art and Practice of Working Together While Physically Apart,” was first published in 2018, with a fully updated second edition published in January 2021. He is a frequent international speaker on the benefits and strategies of “remote” work, as well as the wider diversity, environmental, urban planning and community renewal benefits of distributed organizations.
Gray O'Byrne, Product Owner for talent.canada.ca at Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. Over the last ten years Gray has held a variety of roles in the federal government including Web Developer, Field Worker and Project Lead at the IN·spire Innovation Hub. With a Master’s degree in physics, a decade of dabbling with computer code, and five years working as a government innovation sidekick, he now claims to be three flavors of Geek: Scientist, Programmer and Policy Wonk.
