Writing a job application is a tricky business — it’s not only the content that’s important, but how the application is written too. A well-written job application is something that will catch hiring managers’ attention and can help you get to the next stage of the hiring process.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to write a clear and concise personal statement, craft a standout CV, and compose compelling answers to application questions.
You’ll hear from experienced public servants and HR professionals and find out what makes a well-written application, including how to pick concrete examples and what language to use.
You'll learn:
- Top tips for making your written application stand out
- How to identify and use appropriate language, vocabulary and content
- How to structure your personal statement, CV and answers in a clear and logical way
Who should watch:
This workshop is for anyone who wants tips and tricks for writing a job application in the UK Civil Service, whether you're actively applying to jobs or looking to brush up your skills for the future.
