Qi Wang, a passionate public servant. Qi feels privileged to be the Director of Strategic Policy and Planning at the Canada Council for the Arts since spring 2021, and contributing to the rebuilding of a more inclusive, innovative and sustainable arts sector. Prior to this, Qi was the inaugural Director of the Policy Community Partnership Office, which convenes and enables the Government of Canada’s policy practitioners and helps them evolve their practices. Qi has a strong policy background having worked in strategic policy and policy development in a wide-array of organizations (e.g., the Privy Council Office, Natural Resources Canada, and Citizenship and Immigration Canada). Qi is an arts enthusiast, avid runner, dragonboater and self-professed foodie.
Dan Keeley, a Senior Delivery Adviser in the Secretary of State’s Delivery Unit. Dan joined the UK Department for Education in 2022, and helps ministers to drive delivery of their mission to raise school standards and mitigate the risk of workforce shortages. His background is in strategy consultancy for global consumer businesses. At Accenture and then in the group digital team of a major Asian conglomerate, he advised businesses on how to drive transformation (the combination of strategy and delivery) with digital ways of thinking and doing. Dan is passionate about multi-disciplinary problem solving and the value of a user-centred mindset in tackling real-world delivery challenges.
Kate Bruckshaw, led the Policy Exploration team in the UK’s Department for Work and Pensions, before moving to the Department for Education last year. She has a background in both digital transformation and policy design. Kate has experience in creating and leading multidisciplinary teams in and across complex, ambiguous, policy spaces, and has a long-time interest in the role of design in public policymaking, strategy and leadership.
