At the end of another year, we find ourselves, our offices rather, scrambling to finish the year's committed targets. While other projects are being completed with flying colours, on the other hand, are projects struggling to fight for their existence and success. What more on indefinitely losing pertinent project leads and experts? How do we keep up with the demands? How is it best to follow through with the activities if primary project heads abruptly disappear and fall out in the picture?

First, assess the existing business arising, tap all possible teammates and collate their latest knowledge on the latest tasks. If all else fails, fret not. Second, agree on how the team can pick up the broken pieces and move forward. Third, begin to work on the loose strands of the project and refocus on the end goal, which is completing the necessary project tasks.

Definitely, it is not easy being orphaned by your own project involvement, and worst yet to be cringing in fear and wallowing in sadness. Taking matters one step at a time will help you get back on track. Who knows maybe this situation can be your opportunity for growth? Remember, you and your teammates are capable too. Just keep believing in yourself and trusting the remaining people around you. You can do it and get through it! Sending well wishes and virtual hugs!
