On May 15, 2025, I completed exactly two years as Executive Superintendent of the Manaus Free Trade Zone, an opportunity granted to me by Superintendent Bosco Saraiva, to whom I am deeply grateful. Recalling this event brought back many memories, from my childhood at Suframa, wandering the corridors of the agency in the company of my father—also a Suframa employee—to the day I received the call from employee Marcos Benfica inviting me to take office at Suframa, which occurred on December 6, 2011, a few years after graduating.

During my time as a Public Administration student at the Amazonas State University (UEA), I cannot deny that I dreamed of one day making important decisions, based on evidence and sound management, to help the people of my region. As fate would have it, my first significant position was as "02" at the Manaus Free Trade Zone Superintendence. Until then, I had already held other positions, including Administrative and Financial Director of the Municipal Youth Secretariat of the Manaus City Hall at the age of 21, as well as the honorable position of General Coordinator of Foreign Trade and International Affairs at Suframa, a position I had always aspired to. However, holding this position has undoubtedly been my greatest professional challenge to date.

Honestly speaking, I wouldn't write anything or even mention the fact that I've completed two years as head of the Manaus Free Trade Zone Executive Superintendence, but I just received the news that Suframa will receive the Certificate of Merit for the 2023 Application Cycle, for placing first in the application of the Governance and Management Improvement Instrument – IMGG 100 POINTS, of the Governance and Public Management Model in the "Federal Public Administration" category. This recognition is the result of hard work toward the continuous improvement of our management and governance, supported by our Superintendent Bosco Saraiva.

I would like to thank the entire staff at my unit, as well as all of Suframa, for this achievement. It's a win not only for us, but for society as a whole. And this is the most important thing!

Over the past two years, there have been many challenges, but by the grace of God, there have also been many achievements. Among these, I highlight the following:

· Governance and risk management: We held risk workshops with almost all Suframa units, mapping and identifying the main challenges and developing action plans to mitigate them. Furthermore, we assessed the Macro Risks presented by the TCU and implemented measures to improve our management. We also pursued continuous improvement of the governance bodies of this agency, highlighting the certification of the governance and management maturity level (IMGG).

Regional Integration: We carry out regional integration and development initiatives in all Western Amazon states and Amapá, as well as in cities in the interior of Amazonas, in partnership with the Bank of the Amazon and the Amazon Development Superintendence (SUDAM). This initiative is a result of the Regional Integration and Development Initiative (PIRD) Plan, which is already yielding results with the decentralization of investments under the Information Technology Law in Western Amazonia and Amapá.

Innovation and Development: We promoted the 1st Meeting of the Innovation Ecosystem of Western Amazonia and Amapá, strengthening the culture of innovation in the region and contributing to the decentralization of investments in research, development, and innovation.

ESG (environmental, social, governance): For three consecutive years, an event focused on ESG issues was held with the aim of making industries in the Manaus Free Trade Zone more sustainable and promoting the incorporation of environmental, social, and governance principles in all business spheres. In 2024 and 2025, in partnership with CIEAM, the first and second editions of the "ESG Forum: Amazon" took place at the Suframa auditorium. This year, the initiative launched the Zona Franca Mais ESG (ZFM+ESG) initiative, an initiative that aims to make the Manaus Industrial Complex a global benchmark in ESG.

Attracting investment: We held several meetings with national and international companies and attended several national and international industry events, presenting business opportunities in the Manaus Free Trade Zone and supporting the establishment of new industrial projects. As a result of this work, we have already opened factories in the Manaus Industrial Complex.

Modernization and digitalization: We have begun negotiations to develop the Suframa AI Chatbot project, aiming to optimize service to our users and facilitate access to information about our incentives and services.

Women's Empowerment: We dedicate our efforts to promoting female leadership in the industrial sector, fostering women's participation in leadership positions and encouraging diversity through events held at Suframa's headquarters. We also launched the "Anti-Harassment Seal," whose motto is "Commitment & Respect." Established by Ordinance No. 1,678 of October 30, 2024, the initiative was designed to promote safer, more respectful work environments, free from any form of harassment and discrimination, in companies within the agency's area of operation.

Foreign Trade: We conducted a pilot study based on meetings with thirteen exporting companies in the PIM (PIM), identifying various bottlenecks and opportunities for action to increase exports and improve the business environment.

In addition to these initiatives, we highlight the completion of the Amazon Biobusiness Center (CBA) activities transfer process, the review and evaluation of the Institutional Strategic Plan (PEI), and the certification of the Governance and Management Maturity Level in the Bronze 3 category. In addition, we also began developing the new Institutional Strategic Plan for the next 5 years (2026/2030).

The results achieved demonstrate Suframa's commitment to promoting the sustainable development of the Western Amazon and Amapá. We are confident that, with the continuity of these actions and the support of our partners, we will be able to achieve even more significant results in the coming years.

I thank all Suframa employees and collaborators, and particularly those of SAE, for their dedication and professionalism.
