Zambia is teaching refugees how to plant, harvest and sell crops in an after-school program designed to supplement government meals and train them in farming techniques. There is currently a scheme in place to feed children in the Mayukwayukwa camp during school hours, but the UNHCR reports that many of the students are undernourished. Attendance in the schools is up since the program was implemented in 2015, as students know they will get a substantial meal if they go to school.
