Australia’s national library has completed the mammoth task of transferring its collections online on its regular budget. Over half a billion resources including manuscripts, pictures and analogue sound recordings have been uploaded over the course of five years and are accessible to researchers the world over. The site is attracting up to 70,000 users a day and is the fourth most popular government website in Australia.
