This is week 5 in the boot camp 'How to Work Remotely, Through COVID & Beyond'.

As some countries begin loosening lockdowns, more and more teams are using a 'hybrid' model, where some members work from home while some work from the office. Managing and working as part of hybrid teams offers many advantages, but requires careful upfront investment in building relationships and team culture, defining expectations, setting up communication channels and developing sustainable remote work policies. This week we will discuss key success factors of high-performing hybrid teams.

1: Read this article about leading virtual teams Read about three lessons learned from leading virtual teams, and find out why empathy is key to keeping teams connected while working remotely or in a hybrid setup.

2: Find out pros and cons of teamwork beyond borders Read this article from Tanya Accone (a speaker at this week's live event) about developing teams across borders - well before the Covid-19 pandemic.

3: Check out a guide to managing a newly remote team Review this guide from the Harvard Business Review about how to manage newly remote teams.

4: Watch a recording of this week's live event This week, you heard from Tanya Accone, Senior Adviser on Innovation at Scale, UNICEF, and Kat Crisp, Senior Innovation Specialist, about working in and managing a hybrid team. You can watch the recording here.
