Costa Rica is encouraging companies to make hiring and training refugees part of their corporate responsibility plans through a prestigious partnership. Companies who help refugees find work can apply to become members of Vivir la Integración, an organisation that supports integration of migrants and asylum seekers, and certifies the businesses as refugee employers. Costa Rica has taken in 9,500 refugees, mainly from Colombia, in the past 15 years.
