Competition: Have you run a great government comms campaign?

Apolitical is inviting our members to submit entries to the Sharjah government's global Government Communication Award.

The Sharjah government is looking to recognise government communications best practice from around the world.

Apolitical members are invited to nominate their project via a short form below (we will share this information with the Sharjah Government).

You must submit your entry by January 31st to be considered for the award.

The government wants to solicit entries in two categories:

1) Best government communications campaign

A government entity that has organised campaigns, programs or activities to communicate certain messages to a targeted audience or have introduced a new service, impacted behaviours, or promoted a certain sector to formulate a neutral or positive public opinion.

Criteria:

Measurable impact of communication activities. These activities can be:

• A public campaign
• An international campaign
• An internal campaign
• A brand management/ reputation enhancing initiative

Results should be measurable based on the initiative objectives (e.g. increase in awareness, feedback from citizens, increased tourism or investment, culture change etc)

Innovation deployed, like the use of behavioural science ad data driven techniques, or demonstrated personalized and citizen-centric approaches

Demonstrated trust building and transparency

2) Best use of Data | Best Data Visualisation

Presented to an entity that demonstrated the best use in data and data visualisation to convey information whether through infographics or other relevant tools.

Criteria:

• Demonstrated data-driven techniques implementation
• Demonstrated increase in audience sharing the entity’s content
• A record in conveying clear messages through data visualisation
• Results should be measurable based on the initiative objectives (e.g. increase in awareness, feedback from citizens, increased tourism or investment, culture change etc.)
