Uganda, in partnership with non-profit Living Goods, is empowering rural women to earn a living selling low-cost, life-saving health treatments to their neighbours. The women go door-to-door with inventory including malaria treatments, water filters, de-worming pills and contraceptives provided by an international partnership. The average cost of treatment is 50 cents.
