Now that you know the value of collaborative processes, let's put that into practice. Here you will have the opportunity to take part in an active brainstorming session alongside other learners enrolled on this course. Spend some time reflecting on what you have learned and then share your best ideas for cultivating a psychologically safe workspace.

What you need to do:

  • Reflect on what you have learned so far in this course (2 minutes)
  • Answer the Q&A question with your best ideas for ensuring your team dynamic is psychologically safe, and read through, and reflect on, your fellow learners' responses (3 minutes)

1. Introduction

This week, you’ll reflect on everything you’ve learned over the previous three weeks. In this first lesson, you’ll engage with other learners on the course to share knowledge and ideas on creating psychologically safe workplaces. Then, in lesson 4.2, you’ll write down five commitments you’ll implement into your team dynamic. In 4.3, we have provided you with a summary article, which links together all areas covered throughout the course.

Share your reflections with the Apolitical community

Take a few moments to reflect on your own experiences of psychological safety in the workplace.

It’s always great to reflect with and learn from others. If you follow the link below, you can share your reflections on the question, What are your best ideas and experiences to promote psychological safety in the workplace?, and see if your fellow public servants within the Apolitical community have had similar, or wildly different ideas from you.

Pose your own questions (optional):

Got a burning question? You can also use the Apolitical Q&A feature to get help from the Apolitical community. You can submit your own questions and answer those posed by other public servants at any time.

2. Conclusion

In this activity, you’ve reflected on what you’ve learned so far, and have come up with ideas for ensuring a psychologically safe environment for yourself and your colleagues. Next up, it’s time to commit to transforming these ideas into practice.
