This system provides optimized walking navigation tailored to specific disability types, supporting safe mobility for individuals with visual and physical disabilities.
Domestic map services focus primarily on route guidance for general pedestrians, presenting limitations that make them difficult for transportation-disadvantaged individuals such as the visually impaired and physically disabled to use. Furthermore, insufficient pedestrian pathways and safety facilities for the disabled persistently cause problems, such as difficulty entering buildings due to narrow thresholds.
Particularly, pedestrian route information for persons with disabilities often fails to reflect the accessibility status of individual facilities, frequently leading to inconvenience when encountering unexpected obstacles during travel. Therefore, this project developed a pedestrian safety information provision system for persons with disabilities, based on AI analysis, to support optimal route guidance.
This system provides optimized walking navigation tailored to specific disability types, supporting safe mobility for individuals with visual and physical disabilities.
It is expected that the user base for this specialized navigation system, designed not only for persons with disabilities but also for those with walking difficulties, will expand to include general pedestrians. Furthermore, it can be extended to various fields such as smart city welfare platforms and barrier-free tourism services.
Before (as-is)
Insufficient guidance facilities for pedestrian paths and disabled safety facilities; absence of navigation services for safe pedestrian routes for the disabled
After (to-be)
Accessibility information for customized routes, facilities, and public transportation can be provided through a unified pedestrian system offering a seamless experience
