Event Description
Join this event to explore how public servants can better translate climate commitments into practical planning and delivery, with a focus on the real decisions that reduce emissions and strengthen resilience. This session will break down the journey from climate targets and regulations to real world implementation across government projects and programmes.
Learn from climate experts and experienced public servants, and leave with the clarity and tools to apply climate requirements confidently and turn them into measurable projects and deliverables.

Gabrielle Beran, a PRINCE2 Project Management Practitioner, holds an MSc with Distinction from the London School of Economics and an LLB/BA from Victoria University of Wellington, and has a certificate in Feminist Facilitation Pedagogies from Cynara.She has worked globally in many different places and contexts: with governments, community groups, businesses, and volunteers. This includes co-leading a small pro-bono legal charity, working with the Commonwealth Secretariat on electoral management in Africa, the Caribbean and Pacific, running her own consultancy, and managing a climate resilient infrastructure programme in Southeast Asia for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. At CPI she focuses on climate action and the potential for systems innovation, relationships and learning to create climate resilient, equitable futures.
Inna Chilik, a systems innovator and collaboration facilitator with more than 20 years of experience across strategy, finance, and sustainability. She currently co leads collective sensemaking at NetZeroCities, where she helps cities learn from one another as they work towards climate neutrality through locally designed, systemic action. Her work focuses on peer learning, experimentation, and building the cross city collaboration needed to turn climate ambition into practical delivery.
Emma Lecavalier, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Oxford Climate Policy Hub, where she examines climate and environmental rules and regulations across global, national and subnational scales. Her work with the Hub focuses on developing the Oxford Climate Policy Monitor, a data resource tracking and analysing key areas of climate policy in over 35 countries. She also co-leads the Oxford Initiative on Green Approaches to Public Procurement (OxGAP), which investigates how public procurement can be transformed to drive green innovation.
