Master collaborative meetings with virtual tools:
A hands-on workshop on Mural, Miro and Jamboard

Free Online Workshop | Exclusive for Public Servants & Policymakers

Meetings in government now look very different, as many of us continue to work remotely and online due to Covid-19. This can be especially difficult when it comes to collaborative meetings where you want people to share ideas and think creatively together. Without the use of familiar aids such as post-it notes and group brainstorms, these meetings can feel unproductive and awkward.

Luckily there are a myriad of virtual collaboration tools at your disposal that can help you improve your virtual meeting experience. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the importance of collaborative tools and how to use them to make your virtual meetings more effective and engaging.

After this workshop you’ll be able to effectively collaborate in a virtual setting. You’ll also be able to use and understand virtual whiteboard tools and their functionalities, supercharging your meetings.

During the workshop you will:

  • Learn the basics of Design Thinking and how to apply this approach to common problems
  • Discover various virtual whiteboard tools, including Mural, Miro, Jamboard and more
  • Experience one virtual tool with an actual use case
  • Receive resource information documents at the end of the session

Who you’ll hear from:

This workshop has been put on in partnership with the Sustainable Living Lab (SL2). SL2 is a consultancy that co-designs and implements innovation projects in the area of future skills development, energy sustainability and community resilience.

The workshop will be led by Aaqib Alvi. Having had to manage remote teams across multiple time zones, he is an early adopter of the latest online/virtual tools that support effective planning and collaboration.
