Detroit integrates immigrants by helping them set up businesses

The city of Detroit has partnered with a specialist non-profit to help immigrants set up their own businesses as a means of improving the city's economy. The non-profit helped set up the city's Office of Immigrant Affairs and raise $7 million in corporate and philanthropic funding for the measures needed. The partnership trains migrants in business practices and offers micro-loans to integrate them into the local economy.
