How to be a rebel in government
Free Online Skills Workshop | Tuesday, 23 July 2019 | 10:00am AET (Melbourne / Canberra)
Perhaps nothing could have a greater positive effect on people’s lives than simply improving the government machine and unlocking the talents of its public servants. The risks are many and sometimes poorly understood; the rewards are potentially enormous. Today more than ever, public servants have to understand the cutting-edge ways that governments are transforming themselves to better serve citizens.
That’s where this workshop comes in. In the spirit of Australia’s Innovation Month, Apolitical is hosting an event led by Alex Ryan — a leading expert on government innovation and director of the MaRS Solution Lab in Toronto, Canada. During the workshop, you will learn:
- How to know which innovations to use when
- How to disrupt the status quo
- How to convert polarisation into progress
This workshop will be presented by Apolitical in partnership with the Victorian Government and the Victorian Public Sector Commission. It is open to all participants from the public service, civil society, and academia.
