COVID-19 Special: How to Use Evidence in Policymaking
Free Online Workshop | Exclusive for Public Servants & Policymakers
In light of the recent COVID-19 health pandemic, the need to know what works and what does not when creating policy and making decisions has never been greater.
This workshop is the second in a two-part series. In the first workshop, you learnt about the different types of evidence you can use in policymaking and how to design and apply experimental approaches in policymaking.
In this workshop, you’ll learn practical ways to use evidence in the policymaking process to create evidence-based policies that can be delivered efficiently and with fidelity. Our speakers will also share their insights on how to avoid common pitfalls around branding, buy-in and scaling-up policies.
What you’ll learn:
- The importance of evidence-based approaches in light of COVID-19
- Tips for how to effectively run and deliver a successful evidence-based policy
- How to apply past learnings and evidence to improve your response to crisis
- Best practices when it comes to scaling up evidence-based policies
Who should watch:
This workshop is intended for anyone looking to incorporate evidence into their work, from the most senior positions to new public servants.
Open to all participants from the public service, civil society, and academia. If you are not yet a member of Apolitical, you will be taken to a signup page that will automatically register you for the workshop.
